Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker realizes the importance of education in currently isolated regions of the world. His belief is that a young developing generation, marked by war conflicts, could be provided with empowering solutions that would ultimately make a difference in our connected world.

Whitaker’s non-profit, PeaceEarth, began a series of peace-building modules where students from all parts of Africa could have access to the internet and be exposed to different ways of thinking. His goal, in conjunction with the United Nations, is to build a solidarity network that would ease tension among territories in conflict.
